Inter Milan have opened talks over a possible loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones ahead of the January transfer deadline, which will depend on whether Davide Frattesi joins Nottingham Forest.
As the January transfer window approaches its final day, there are rumors that Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones could leave Anfield. There are always rumors of a number of signings, with the latest speculation suggesting a departure could be on the cards before Monday’s deadline.
Arne Slott’s side currently sit sixth in the Premier League table and will host Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday night. Slott will likely want to include Jones in his selection against the Magpies.
The midfielder missed midweek’s Champions League win over Qarabag due to illness. It now looks like there is a good chance Jones will leave Liverpool before the window slams shut.

Inter Milan have started talks with Liverpool over a deal to bring Jones to Italy before Monday’s cut-off point, according to reports. The Serie A giants are reportedly considering a loan deal for Jones until the end of the season, with the option of making him a permanent transfer this summer.
The speculation suggests that Jones’ move could depend on Inter’s Davide Frattesi leaving the San Siro for Nottingham Forest. Frattesi is said to be on the verge of a move to Forest, which could allow the Italian side to move forward with signing Jones to replace him.

Jones has made 29 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season. However, he has only started 10 games in the Premier League and was relegated to the substitute bench in last weekend’s defeat to Bournemouth.
As Monday’s deadline approaches, Slott spoke of Liverpool potentially signing new players in the coming days, but the manager kept his cards close to his heart. Slott: “Will you promise not to ask me after the match?”
“Yes, I think you know the answer. The answer is, I think we talked to players who can help us and if we think it’s possible, we will.”
“But those are conversations that will take place. Not far from here, by the way, but not in this room.”
Asked further whether Slott’s response suggested an agreement was unlikely, Slott replied: “Why is it unlikely? Okay, that’s a smart question to ask. I think the answer I gave is yes. Whether that means unlikely or likely is up to you.”
