‘The best team in the world’ Arsenal are ‘better prepared’ to win the title

Fantasy Premier League returns this weekend. We’ve put together some tips to help managers get an edge in Gameweek 24.

Last weekend’s 49 points were led by Harry Wilson (10), Antoine Semenyo (8) and Tierno Barry (9).
Looking ahead, Manchester United’s improved form would make Bruno Fernandes and Brian Mbeumo attractive candidates for Sunday’s game against Fulham. Semenyo has also stood out, scoring in three of his four appearances for City this season.
There is also a case for investing in Florian Wirtz. The German is finding his form again after a slow start at Liverpool.
According to Squawka, he scored his fifth goal in all competitions in the 6-0 UEFA Champions League win over Qarabag, the most by a Premier League player since December 27.
Saturday’s game against Newcastle United, which will be broadcast live on TNT Sports and Discovery+, will be a chance to extend that record.

If you’re not sure where to turn, here are three other players who could make a big difference in Gameweek 24.

As before, the categories are:

Player 1: Up to 10% ownership

Player 2: Up to 5% ownership

Player 3: Up to 2% ownership

FPL players have until 13:30 UK time on Saturday 31st January to change teams ahead of all matches.

1) Daniel Muñoz (6.0%)

Daniel Muñoz has been a favorite to win the FPL in his two years in the Premier League and having returned from injury in Crystal Palace’s defeat to Chelsea last Sunday, the Colombian straight should be brought back into the squad.

Despite being blanked against the Blues, Muñoz is averaging 6.0 points per game (ppm) this season, a return that is higher than Gabriel Magalhães’ 7.1 ppm.

Palace have had a dismal run over the past six weeks, but Munoz’s absence is largely at the root of their troubles.

The wing-back has an expected goal involvement (xGI) of 3.79 so far this season, a figure bettered by only two defenders this season, both of whom have played seven more games than the Palace star.

2) Evanison (2.5%)

Evanilson has scored three goals in the last four weeks before continuing his fine form at Bournemouth.

In fact, the Brazilian should have a good chance to add to his tally, as the Cherries’ next eight games are ranked below third in FPL’s Match Difficulty Rating (FDR).

Additionally, Evanilsson could serve as a suitable replacement for a manager considering letting go of Igor Thiago ahead of Brentford’s more difficult fixtures. Or, dare I say it, considering keeping Aaril Haaland on the sidelines as the Norwegian tries to regain his form.

However, we don’t recommend the latter, as Haaland ended his five-game scoring drought in Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League.

3. James Hill (0.8%)

If you can afford it, Bournemouth defender James Hill is a great option.

The 24-year-old, who costs just £3.9m, started five games in a row for Bournemouth, picking up defensive contribution points in four of those and scoring nine goals in the other.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, Bournemouth have continued to perform well up to matchday 30, including matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, West Ham United and Burnley.

And because we’re kind, we’re giving you two tips for the price of one. Sunderland’s Martin Brobbie has scored three goals in his last four games and with Burnley next up, the Dutchman will be expected to add to his tally.
