Thomas Frank faced demands for his sacking from Spurs at the weekend, but his side secured a much-needed 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Sweden manager Graham Potter was spotted at Tottenham on Tuesday watching the Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund with Spurs star Dejan Kulusevski. Thomas Frank’s team won an important 2-0 victory, which eased the pressure on his position as manager.
Frank, 52, faced calls for his sacking after Tottenham lost 2-1 at home to relegation-threatened West Ham on Saturday. Spurs are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, without a win in five games until Dortmund’s visit.
First-half goals from Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke raised hopes of a first win in 2026, but there are reports that Frank remains under intense pressure. Watching the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were Potter, who has multiple links to the club thanks to Spurs stars Kulusevski and Lukas Bergvall, and members of Frank’s coaching staff.
Tottenham assistant Andreas Georgsson was also part of Potter’s Sweden squad, with Potter appointing him in October. The former Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham manager will be delighted to see his colleague help Spurs secure all three points.

Potter’s focus is firmly on the World Cup playoffs in March. The 50-year-old was given the job when the Swedish FA sacked John Dahl Tomasson after a disastrous start to the qualification campaign.
Despite finishing bottom of their group, Sweden will qualify for the play-offs thanks to their performance in the previous Nations League campaign. Coach Potter’s team will face Ukraine in the semi-finals, but due to the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, the match will be held in Valencia, Spain.
The winner will face either Albania or Poland in the final. Potter is yet to win his first win as Sweden manager, losing his first game away to Switzerland 4-1 and drawing 1-1 at home with Slovenia.

Kulusevski is one of Sweden’s star players, but he has not played for his country in over a year due to injury. The winger is close to making a comeback after knee surgery in the summer. His return will be a boost for Potter and Frank.
Tottenham face 19th-placed Burnley on Saturday before playing their final Champions League game at Eintracht Frankfurt next Wednesday. Another win would ensure a place in the last 16, which would go a long way in helping Frank keep his job for the time being.
