Being the manager of Manchester United has become one of the toughest jobs in football these days. Many people have tried to conquer this beast, but almost all have failed along the way.
Especially in the years since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and left the club after an illustrious 27-year spell with the Red Devils. This will always be a difficult act to follow, but the fact is United have been a club in the doldrums for some time.
However, how have the managers (regular managers, interim managers, interim managers) moved up in rank since Ferguson left?
Of course, Michael Carrick is already in the dugout at Old Trafford.
In fairness, he may be a bit unlucky to be included on this list, as he has never lost as United manager.
Carrick managed three games in 2021.
He surpassed Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was also undefeated, but went unbeaten in a four-fight stint instead.
