Burnley vs Fulham Live – Premier League Latest, Oliver Sonne’s first league goal puts the hosts back in the game as Fulham hold on

Fulham, starring Harry Wilson, handed Burnley their seventh consecutive defeat.

Fulham moved further away from the relegation zone with a much-needed 3-2 win against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Calvin Bassey and Harry Wilson gave Fulham their first win in three Premier League games, while Burnley ended a seven-game losing streak.

Continuing his brilliant form, Wilson was involved in all three goals.

Fulham took the lead after just nine minutes, with Smith Rowe the quickest to react to Wilson’s corner kick, slotting past Martin Dubravka.

Wilson caught the Burnley defense in their sleep and created a low corner, which weaved past the player at the front post and found Smith Rowe to score.

The hosts equalized almost instantly through Leslie Ugochukwu, who latched on to a through ball and tried to score, but his shot was deflected by Bernd Leno to equalize.

However, Ugochukwu made no mistake on his second chance and raced past Leno to equalize after 21 minutes.

Josh Curren picked up the ball in midfield and fired a composed finish past the former Chelsea midfielder.

Fulham regained the lead within 10 minutes, but once again Wilson provided the magic.

The Wales international brought the ball into the box and sent a delicate cross to the back post for Calvin Bassey to slot into the bottom corner.

Ugochukwu came close to equalizing for the second time late in the second half, volleying home from the edge of the box and expertly stopping Leno.

Burnley should have equalized 10 minutes into the second half when Jacob Bruun-Larsen latched onto Smith Rowe’s backpass, but Leno made another great save.

However, it was Fulham who scored the first goal of the second half, with Wilson scoring his fourth goal in his last seven league games.

Sander Berge started the counter, Samuel Chukwueze picked out Wilson in the box and the Wales international curled the ball into the far corner.

The hosts pulled one back with five minutes of regular game time, when Oliver Sonne headed home Klindsie Hartmann’s excellent cross for his first Premier League goal.

Marco Silva’s side managed to hold on and will look to build on tonight’s result when they host Nottingham Forest next weekend, while Burnley travel to top-flight Bournemouth.
