England fans heading to the 2026 World Cup in North America have learned how much it will cost to watch Thomas Tuchel’s side in the group stages and subsequent rounds.
Furious soccer fans have accused FIFA of a “gross betrayal” after it was revealed that the cheapest ticket to next summer’s World Cup final will cost a staggering £3,120. And England supporters will need to shell out at least £200 to watch Thomas Tuchel’s side take on Croatia in their opening group game.
Those are the so-called “value tier” seats at Dallas’ 100,000-seater stadium, with a “standard tier” ticket costing £373. A ‘premier tier’ ticket costs an eye-watering £523. Ahead of the opening group game.
These figures are for tickets purchased through ‘Participant Member Allocation’ (PMA), i.e. those who purchased tickets through the Official England Supporters Travel Club (ESTC). News about PMA’s ticket price scale has outraged supporter groups around the world.
Football Supporters Europe (FSE) said that based on the information it has received so far, fans will have to pay more than £6,000 to watch every match from the first game to the final through their PMA quota, which is five times what they would pay for the 2022 Qatar tournament.

“European football supporters are stunned by the exorbitant ticket prices FIFA has imposed on its most passionate supporters for next year’s FIFA World Cup,” it said in a statement. “This is a monumental betrayal of World Cup tradition and ignores the contribution of supporters to the World Cup spectacle.
“We call on FIFA to immediately halt the sale of PMA tickets, consult with all affected parties and review ticket prices and category allocation until a solution is found that respects the tradition, universality and cultural importance of the World Cup.”
According to information released by UEFA in the autumn of 2023, it will cost £328 to watch a match against England at Euro 2024 from the first match to the final with a ticket in the ‘Fans First’ category. Tickets in the higher categories would cost a total of £753.
In a post on X, England fan group Free Lions said it supported FSE’s statement, adding that these were “shocking prices that far exceed the already high costs we suspected.”
“This should not be tolerated,” the group added. “Game-goers around the world should be protected from these price rip-offs,” the group added in a statement.
Tickets for England’s group matches against Panama and Ghana start from £134, with tickets for the round of 32 and 16 matches priced at £175 and £200. The lowest price for a ticket for the quarter-final against England will be £508, followed by a seat for the semi-final at £687.
