Liverpool are already in crisis mode with their title defense almost over and Mohamed Salah’s future uncertain, but captain Virgil van Dijk is a target for Glen Johnson.
Liverpool talisman Virgil van Dijk is said to have ‘got away with murder’. The Premier League champions are in full-blown collapse after a disastrous season following Mo Salah’s recent attacks on the club and manager Arne Slott.
Liverpool’s title defense is in tatters, but Salah is not expected to wear the famous shirt again. Salah believes he has become the scapegoat for the team’s disastrous results. Ibrahima Konate, Milos Kerkes and Alexander Isak have also been named as targets of intense criticism as investigations into Mr Slott’s collapse continue.
But former Liverpool star Glen Johnson believes Van Dijk is more to blame for the team’s recent failures than anyone else. And Johnson believes Van Dijk has escaped flak because of his position at the club.

The former England full-back told online casino UK Betrite: “Virgil van Dijk has been as negligent as Ibrahima Konate lately, if not more so.
“He gets away with murder because his name is Van Dijk. I still think he’s a world-class player and always have been, but he’s far from his best level at the moment and so are the players around him.
“I think Konate has been thrown under the bus a little bit. He’s made some mistakes lately so that’s understandable. But so does everyone. The whole Liverpool backline keeps making mistakes and Van Dijk is no exception.”
Johnson has asked Liverpool to sign England international and Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi. He added: “Liverpool need a new centre-back in January. The first player that comes to mind is Marc Guech from Crystal Palace.”
“I doubt whether he can join a club like Liverpool and flourish, but I think he needs to be given the chance to prove himself at the top level, like he did with England.
“I think he would be a great signing for Liverpool. They definitely need to sign some players in January.”
