Mohamed Salah speaks out about his fractured relationship with Liverpool head coach Arne Slott after being left on the bench for three games in a row, leaving his commitment to the team in big doubt.
With Arne Slott favored, the big question is whether Mohamed Salah will feature in Liverpool’s next two games. The Egyptian could miss the Reds’ remaining two games in the run-up to the African Cup of Nations, according to reports, following his inflammatory comments after the match.
TalkSPORT report that the Anfield bosses are backing the Premier League manager, with the 33-year-old potentially already playing his final game before heading to the African Cup of Nations. It has been suggested that Salah, who is due to join the national team, could be left out of the squad for upcoming games against Inter Milan and Brighton & Hove Albion.
This comes after Salah, who has been frozen out for the last three games in a row, has started to fight back. Slott is feeling the heat as Liverpool’s title defense slumps.

Salah’s comments caused further ripples and caused a rift among the Liverpool faithful with the season on the brink. However, Anfield bosses are reported to believe that Slott has the autonomy to make tactical decisions and that players should respond professionally.
Liverpool are scheduled to face Brighton this Saturday, just days after an important Champions League game in Milan. The game against the Seagulls was supposed to be Salah’s last appearance before heading to Morocco to join up with his Egyptian compatriots.
However, the newspaper said there were now serious doubts as to whether Salah would feature in either of the two matches. The 33-year-old was spotted leaving the AXA training center in Kirkby on Sunday, hours after making the explosive revelation.
Salah took part in a recovery session with his fellow players, but doubts remain as to whether his appearance for Cody Gakpo in the 1-1 stalemate against Sunderland in midweek will be his last appearance in a Liverpool shirt.
Speaking after the draw at Elland Road, he said: “I have done a lot for this club so far, especially last season.
“Right now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why. It’s like the club threw me under the bus. That’s how I feel. I think it’s clear that someone was trying to put all the blame on me.”
“We received a lot of promises in the summer, but I can’t say they’re keeping their promises because they’ve been on the bench for three games so far.
“I have said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager and suddenly we have no relationship. I don’t know why, but from my point of view it seems like someone doesn’t want me at the club.”
“Yes, there is no relationship between us (him and Arne Slott). We had a very good relationship and now all of a sudden there is no relationship.”
