Emery: Villa confident against ‘best team in the Prem’
Aston Villa will not be set back against the Premier League’s pacesetters today, as manager Unai Emery told TNT Sports.
“We are motivated. We are feeling better and more confident, but of course this game is a challenge. The challenge is how we show our commitment and our ability to set our standards as high as possible.”
“But it is a challenge to maintain that and of course today we are playing against a team that is currently the best team in the Premier League and the favorites to win the trophy.
“But here at Villa Park, the atmosphere, the energy, the supporters. Overall, it’s a very demanding game tactically, and it’s a very demanding game for the individual players as well.”
“I have a lot of respect for them, because I think they are absolutely the best team of all the teams in the Premier League. They don’t play very brilliantly with the ball, but they are very compact and very serious.”
