Joe Gomez and Cody Gakpo both impressed for the Reds at the London Stadium as Liverpool beat West Ham 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Manager Harry Redknapp praised Liverpool’s two star players after their side’s Premier League win over West Ham. On Sunday, the Reds ended their recent losing streak with a 2-0 win at the London Stadium.
Goals from Alexander Isaac and Kodi Gakpo secured all three points for Liverpool in the capital at the weekend.
Before the win against the Hammers, the Reds had lost three games in a row by three goals, scoring 10 goals along the way.
Liverpool have moved up to eighth place in the Premier League table, three points behind the top four.

Next on Arne Slott’s side’s agenda is a return to Anfield, where they will face Sunderland in the top flight on Wednesday night, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Redknapp has named Joe Gomez for Liverpool’s match against West Ham. Gomez made his long-awaited return from injury, playing right-back for the Reds, making his first league start of the season and only his fifth appearance in all competitions.
“Fair play to Joe Gomez, he came out of the cold and had a great game for West Ham,” Redknapp told soccer betting site BetVictor.
“He really strengthened the back line, but also contributed with assists. I would be surprised if he didn’t get more involved moving forward.”
Gakpo has also received praise from manager Redknapp, with the former Premier League manager revealing why the Dutch star outshines his team-mates.
“Cody Gakpo had a good game for Liverpool in the win against West Ham,” Redknapp said.
“He’s obviously a player that Slott has a lot of confidence in and you can see why. He contributed in a very important game here with a goal and an assist. It’s important that they build on this moving forward.”
It remains to be seen what Slott plans to name his squad for the midweek match between Liverpool and Sunderland, and whether Gakpo and Gomez will earn starting spots at Anfield.
Before the win against West Ham, Liverpool had lost nine of their last 12 games in all competitions, including six of their last seven in the Premier League. Slott & Co. will be determined to ensure that victory against the Hammers is the start of a winning streak that includes a top-flight game in midweek.
