‘There are many concerns’ – Guardiola reacts to Donnarumma’s fourth yellow card of the season

Two Manchester City goalkeepers are open to leaving the club in January, with James Trafford considering his future at the club just months after joining from Burnley as manager Josep Guardiola’s first choice.
However, Trafford have been deprived of their future number one spot with the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG, meaning he and Stefan Ortega are on the verge of leaving the club.
“But with Ortega also looking at the exit door, City will have to decide what to do with the team behind Donnarumma.
“Part of Trafford’s discussions with City over the summer focused on a transfer that would provide the opportunity to acquire an England shirt from Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
“However, the Cumbrian’s late return to the Etihad Stadium could put their World Cup qualification at risk, with manager Thomas Tuchel insisting members of his squad need to play regularly.
“Ortega is currently effectively the fourth option behind Marcus Bettinelli and has not traveled for away games.”
Spurs players doubt Frank
Some Tottenham players are concerned about manager Thomas Frank’s tactics, with sources close to the dressing room telling The Sun newspaper that there is growing frustration at plans being changed just before kick-off and early in the game.
Frank is under pressure with a trip to Newcastle on Tuesday night before Spurs host his former team Brentford on Saturday.
“Spurs twice took the lead against the European champions, but in the end they conceded five goals and left the French capital empty-handed.
“While some players enjoy working with Frank, there are concerns that the Dane could lose a large part of the dressing room if results do not improve.”
Sunderland’s January schedule
The i Paper reports that Sunderland are looking to add players to their attacking areas in the January transfer window, with the club likely to lose the six-star in the African Cup of Nations.
The Black Cats are also interested in former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, who currently plays for Lazio but is said to be keen on a move to Sunderland.
“Their results on the pitch since their return to the top flight have confirmed that and have piqued the interest of agents who would not have been paying attention to them 12 months ago when they were competing in the Championship.
“Sunderland currently enjoy good relations with Chelsea after trading for striker Marc Giu and are open to signing a loan deal with the Blues. They have space available to replenish their squad.”
