Tottenham striker Landra Kolo Muani scores a goal against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League despite being signed to Paris Saint-Germain
Randal Kolo Muani celebrated his first two goals for Tottenham on Wednesday night, which also came against parent club Paris Saint-Germain. The Frenchman made a temporary move from the Parisians to Spurs in the summer and started their Champions League campaign.
While players are not allowed to play against their parent club in the Premier League, there is no such rule in UEFA competitions due to integrity rules, allowing Kolo Muani to come on and score freely.
European football’s governing body has made it clear that “no club is strictly prohibited from exerting or attempting to exert any influence over the players of other clubs who are participating (or not participating) in matches.”

Richarlison took the lead, but Vicinha equalized for Luis Enrique’s side just before half-time. Archie Gray then hit the bar and Kolo Muani tapped in the loose ball. However, PSG quickly turned the game around as Vicinha equalized again.
Shortly after, Fabian Ruiz put the hosts ahead, wasting Kolo Muani’s big moment. Holder then added a fourth goal through Willian Pacho.
This season, Spurs had already given up the advantage against PSG before winning on penalties, with goals from Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven being canceled out by Lee Kang-in and Gonzalo Ramos.
However, the Lilywhites struck back once again as Kolo Muani danced his way through several challenges and fired past Lucas Chevalier. Vicinha’s hat trick increased PSG’s lead to two points again.
Thomas Frank spoke fondly of Kolo Muani before the match as he prepares to return to the Parc des Princes and prove his point.
“Of course he wants to perform. Every player wants to perform and give his best performance, that’s for sure. That’s mainly the feeling with Koro.”
“He was very happy to join Tottenham and play for us and we were very happy to have him.
“Then he lost his footing, took longer than we expected, and then he broke his jaw, so it was definitely stop-start.
“And he came in and was fit, but not the best fit, because he came from preseason (not playing much).
“So it all meant he was playing catch-up. I’m sure we can see better things from him.”
