Vinicius Junior’s relationship with Spanish giants Real Madrid seems to be growing more strained by the week, and a move away from the Bernabéu cannot be ruled out.
Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on Vinicius Junior’s future after he made it clear to Real Madrid that they would not consider extending his contract at this time.
The Brazilian winger became a superstar at the Bernabéu after joining from Flamengo. However, his relationship with Real Madrid’s new manager, Xabi Alonso, has deteriorated, and he may consider leaving the Bernabéu in the near future.
Vinicius, 25, was furious after being sent off in the Clasico against Barcelona last month. Although he publicly apologized to his team-mates and supporters shortly after, it appears that his relationship with the Whites manager has not been repaired.
According to The Athletic, Vinicius has no plans to sign an extension with the club at this time due to his relationship with Alonso. The winger’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027, meaning Real could lose him for free in just 18 months.

Vinicius is said to have made his feelings known in a meeting with club president Fiorentino Perez last month, after using abusive language during the Clasico. In an angry reaction to the substitution, the Brazilian was heard saying, “It’s always me, I’m leaving the team, I’d better leave, I’m leaving.”
Vinicius excluded Alonso but wrote a lengthy apology on social media. Asked about this fact, the Real Madrid coach said: “Did Vinicius apologize to me? We had a meeting with everyone on Wednesday and Vinicius was impeccable.”
“He spoke honestly and that was very good. For me, that settled the issue. It was invaluable and a very positive statement. He showed honesty and spoke from the heart.

“What he said was the most important thing and I was very happy. I said it already and I was very proud and the matter was settled on Wednesday itself.”
If Vinicius leaves the club, many Premier League clubs will no doubt take notice. Liverpool have been linked with a move for the winger in the past, with Manchester United also thought to have a historical interest.
Vinicius has scored 111 goals in 340 appearances for Spain, five of which have come so far this season. Real Madrid resume play on Wednesday, taking on Greek side Olympiakos on Wednesday ahead of their La Liga showdown with Girona.
