Goalkeeper – Raya
There will be no surprises in goal as David Raya will line up between the sticks as usual. He has conceded just five goals in 11 league games and will be desperate to keep a clean sheet against Tottenham.
Defense – Timber, Mosquera, Saliba, Calafioli
Julian Timber is probably the best right-back in the world on his current form and is almost certain to start on Sunday. William Saliba will also feature in midfield, with Cristian Mosquera expected to replace the injured Gabriel.
Calafioli will play on the left if he is fit enough, but Arteta revealed on Friday that he had not yet trained with the squad. Miles Lewis-Skelly could be brought in as a result, but the Gunners would rather have Calafioli in their line-up.
Midfield – Zubimendi, Rais, Eze
Odegaard will be the only major absentee in the center of the park, leaving Eberechi Eze to take on the role of creator. Regular starters Declan Rice and Martin Zvimendi are likely to be added.
Arteta could bring Mikel Merino, Christian Norgaard and Ethan Nwaneri off the bench in the second half to refresh his midfield.
Attack – Saka, Trossard, Gokeres
It remains to be seen whether Martinelli will be available to play against Tottenham, but Leandro Trossard seems most likely to start on the left. Especially in a game of this size, Bukayo Saka is a surefire pick on the right wing.
Whether Gökeres will play as the sole striker is another matter, but Arsenal will move heaven and earth to ensure he is available. Otherwise, they may be forced to push Merino to the front again.
Prediction Eleven vs. Tottenham (4-3-3) – Raya; Wood, Mosquera, Saliba, Calafioli. Zubimendi, Rice, Eze. Saka, Trossard, Gökeres.
