Benjamin Sesco is currently a big question for Everton after being forced off injured during Manchester United’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur before the international break.
Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesco missed training ahead of Monday night’s game against Everton. The forward limped off against Tottenham Hotspur before the international break, leaving the Reds alone for the remainder of the game.
Sesco headed to the tunnel immediately after the injury, with manager Ruben Amorim hinting that he may have to enter the transfer window if the injury proves to be a long-term problem.
It remains to be seen whether this is necessary, but Sesco was not present at Friday morning’s training session. Harry Maguire and Kobie Mainoo were also absent from the session.
Since Sesco made his full debut for United, he has either been chosen as a starter by Amorim or the team has played without a striker. The latter strategy was used against Liverpool and Tottenham.

If Sesco is unavailable, Joshua Zirkzee could be called up, but so far this season the Dutchman has played just 90 minutes in five games.
United look likely to continue using the same system they used against Spurs. This could see Amad play alongside Brian Mbeumo, with Matheus Cunha leading the line as a false nine.
Alternatively, Mason Mount could be recalled to the starting XI. He impressed when he featured against Tottenham, setting up Sesco’s second chance in the 2-2 draw.
Amorim is expected to provide an update on Sesco’s injury at a press conference this afternoon. However, the United manager hinted earlier this month that Brian Mbeumo’s injury and AFCON absence could loom, forcing him to do some transfer business in January.
“He had something in his knee, so we have to wait and see. We have to check everything, see what happened to Ben. Of course there will be problems there (AFCON), but we already knew that.”
“With it being one game a week, we knew there would be a lot of players not playing, so we knew it would be difficult to deal with that situation.
“Let’s see when the opportunity opens up. If we can improve the team and repair what happened. Until then, we have to take the opportunity. Let’s see.”
