Arsenal and Tottenham are both expected to be without a number of key players for Sunday’s north London derby, with a number of their stars currently sidelined through injury.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been hit with injuries, with up to 19 players potentially missing for Sunday’s North London derby. Mikel Arteta’s Gunners will welcome Thomas Frank’s Lilywhites this weekend in a fierce battle for local bragging rights after a two-week international break.
Despite the expectations of fans streaming down Holloway Road and into Emirates Stadium, neither team will be at their best. That’s because a number of first-team stars are currently out with injuries and are likely to miss the game altogether.
Mirror Football brings you a comprehensive look at the latest injury news for Arsenal and Spurs as the big games approach.

Arsenal may have to face Spurs this weekend without nine key players. Arteta’s impressive form has not been without its challenges, despite the fact that they are currently making strides in the Premier League and are securely at the top of the table with a four-point lead over Manchester City.
Gabriel was substituted in the 64th minute during Brazil’s friendly against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday due to a knee injury. The knock means the 27-year-old is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks, while there are fears he may not be able to return until January.
In other news, Julian Timber was treated for a knee injury during Monday’s match between Netherlands and Lithuania. Despite appearing to be in significant pain and being substituted with an hour remaining, Timber later posted a reassuring message on social media, suggesting his injury was not too serious.
Meanwhile, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard are each still recovering from knee injuries, meaning Sunday’s match could come too soon for both. Viktor Gökeres was left out of Sweden’s World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland or Slovenia after sustaining a hamstring injury against Burnley earlier this month, while Riccardo Calafioli returned to England from duty in Italy with a hip problem.
Gabriel Martinelli continues to recover from a thigh injury sustained against Crystal Palace in late October and is expected to return in early December. Noni Madueke remains sidelined due to a knee injury sustained in September.
Finally, Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined for Arsenal after undergoing surgery on an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in January. Although he is close to returning, it is reported that he will not be ready for selection until December.

Tottenham face Arsenal on Sunday with 10 players currently injured. Lukas Bergvall has had to withdraw from the Sweden squad due to ongoing concussion problems, but the latest information from the national team suggests he may still be struggling with the issue, raising doubts about his availability for the game against Arsenal.
According to reports in France, Randall Kolo Muani will be out at least until December after sustaining a fractured jaw in Spurs’ 2-2 draw with Manchester United before the international break, while Dominic Solanke has not featured for the Lilywhites since sustaining an ankle injury in August.
James Madison is not expected to return until May 2026 due to an ACL injury, while Dejan Kulusevski has been nursing a knee injury since May and is expected to return in January. Radu Dragusin is also recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury and is not expected to play for Spurs until next month, while Archie Gray could miss the short trip to Arsenal due to a minor calf problem.
Additionally, Ben Davies, Yves Bissouma and Kota Takai are also likely to miss the North London derby.
