Manchester United remain keen to sign assistant manager Ruben Amorim in the transfer window, with one of their main targets apparently looking to make a move ahead of the January transfer window.
Manchester United have been given a major boost by signing Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi, with the forward said to be actively planning a move.
The German star is a long-term target for the Red Devils, who are looking to increase their attacking options under manager Ruben Amorim. So far no deal for Adeyemi has materialized, but that could soon change, especially with the January transfer window set to open in the next few weeks, especially as the 23-year-old appears to have already decided to leave Dortmund.
According to Bild, Adeyemi wants to leave the club at the end of the season and negotiations over a new contract have stalled.
The attacker’s current contract runs until 2027 and he will only sign a new contract if it includes a release clause, but the German giants have no intention of compromising on this.

If that happens, Dortmund could end up signing Adeyemi instead of losing him on a free transfer in 18 months. It has also been suggested that the striker has signed a deal with super agent Jorge Mendes, and talks have already begun with United and Inter Milan over a transfer.
Adeyemi joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in Austria in 2022 and has made 121 appearances, scoring 29 goals. It remains to be seen whether United will be able to get Adeyemi over the line, but it appears the Red Devils want to strengthen their midfield first.

A number of high-profile candidates have already been confirmed, including Brighton star Carlos Baleva, Nottingham Forest’s Elliott Anderson and Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The Red Devils’ leadership has regularly emphasized their intention to invest in the team under Amorim’s stewardship. “We have a clear plan,” Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox said in an interview on United’s website last month.
“We understand what we have to do, the areas of the team where we have to improve. We have to invest in the team if we are to be in the top four, consistently challenge for Champions League qualification, win the Champions League and win the Premier League.”
“We have to get the right players, the right players who are talented but can handle pressure and take the team forward.”
