Arsenal drew 2-2 with Sunderland on Saturday night, with the Gunners dropping points in the Premier League for the first time since September 21.
Arsenal’s hopes of a come-from-behind victory over Sunderland were dashed on Saturday night when Brian Brobbey scored a last-minute equalizer at the Stadium of Light. Former academy star Dan Ballard initially put Sunderland ahead, with Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard responding for the Gunners before Blobby scored a late equaliser.
Arsenal have an impressive record of eight clean sheets in all competitions, but it was Sunderland who drew blood first, as Ballard latched onto Nordi Mukiele’s headed pass, swung past Declan Rice and past David Raya.
Nine minutes into the second half, Bukayo Saka took advantage of Rice’s high press, received a pass from Mikel Merino via Eberechi Eze, and fired a shot at the near post to tie the game. Leandro Trossard then fired in a stunning long-range shot to put Arsenal ahead with just over 15 minutes remaining.

But the drama was not over, as substitute Blobby scored a late equalizer with a header into the box from Ballard’s cross. With Manchester City and Liverpool coming up against each other, dropping points this week might not hurt Arsenal too much.
That being said, Mirror Sports took a closer look at the schedules for all three teams…
Arsenal’s next five Premier League games
Arsenal soon face a series of tough away games, but their first game after the international break will be at home to north London rivals Tottenham. The Gunners are huge favorites with a nine point difference over Spurs.
Another London derby is coming up next weekend as Arsenal head to Stamford Bridge to avoid a repeat of Liverpool’s fate when they faced Chelsea in west London next weekend.
The first midweek league game of the season will see Brentford visit the Emirates Stadium before Mikel Arteta’s side take on Aston Villa again. The Gunners will then face Wolves in a clash between the top and bottom of the Premier League.
Liverpool’s 5 upcoming Premier League matches
Title contenders Man City are next up for Liverpool’s game before returning to Anfield to take on Nottingham Forest after the international break.
Arne Slott’s side look to be on track with their Premier League schedule, with Sunderland at home sandwiched between away games against West Ham United and Leeds United.
Man City’s 5 upcoming Premier League matches
Man City conclude this weekend’s fixtures with a game against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon. Another challenging game awaits Josep Guardiola’s side after the domestic break as they travel north to face Newcastle United.
A home game against Leeds United follows, followed by a trip to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham, their first fixture in December. Just a few days later, they were back at the Etihad Stadium, hosting newly promoted Sunderland.
