Chelsea women’s captain Millie Bright appeared on her own podcast, but declined to answer questions about Mary Earps or club team-mate Hannah Hampton, who is the star of the show.
Millie Bright and Rachel Daly have insisted they will not accept any “gossip” surrounding Chelsea Women’s captain Mary Earps’ controversial comments about Lionesses hero Hannah Hampton as she refused to defend her goalkeeper.
Arps has made himself and the situation with England’s women’s goalkeepers one of the main talking points of the game following the publication of his book All In. Hampton ultimately dethroned Earps as the No. 1 Lioness, and Arps ended up retiring just weeks before this summer’s Euros.
Mr. Arps has made many controversial statements in his book. PSG’s goalkeeper claimed that Sarina Wiegmann “paid for bad behavior” when she brought Hampton into the squad. She also said Chelsea’s shot-stopper had a devastating impact.
The former England forward took questions on Thursday’s The Rest Is Footall: Daly Brightness podcast, but he made it clear from the start that he would not respond to any questions about the controversy or discuss Arps’ book.
“I think everyone wants to be exposed to the story of Hannah and Mary,” Daly said at the beginning of the latest episode.

Then Mr Bright, Hampton’s captain at Chelsea, came over and said: “We saw your tweets. We know you like to have gossip on us. We saw them all.”
Daily continued to stand their ground and say, “We’re not here to gossip. Our podcast isn’t about that. Everyone has their own opinion, there’s freedom of speech, people will say this, people will say that, and I think for us our podcast is about spreading positivity and joy.”
“Think what you want, but we won’t comment on that.”
Bright’s approach was in stark contrast to Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastre, who immediately stepped out to defend her goalkeeper after Arps’ comments surfaced.
She said: “Having read the comments from Mary Earps, it is unacceptable to show disrespect to your team-mates and manager.
“If you look at what Hannah said in previous comments about Mary Earp, what Mary is saying about her now, one of them is class, and Hannah is class one.”
