Amorim says Manchester United are different because they now have more ‘game changers’
Asked at Thursday’s pre-match press conference what he felt had changed this season, Amorim said: “The current team has different characteristics of players. Some players played last year. But we have become a better team. We understand the game better.”
“We are more confident. We reached the Europa League final with confidence that we could win. But at this moment we are playing with a different confidence.”

He added: “We are more confident. We can win any game and we have already proven that. The last game (2-2 draw with Forest) was tough for us because we were not the team we should have been.”
“We conceded two goals against Brighton as well, but it was a different game. There are a lot of things we need to improve on, but we are now more ready for whatever happens in the game.”
“We are in better times, but we still have a lot of work to do to have a consistent winning streak.
“Now I can manage the game better.
We have players who can do that not only as a team but also as individuals, so we can change at any time, even at the moment we are struggling.
“But if you watch the Nottingham Forest game, you can see the energy was different. You could see it from the first moments of the game itself.”
