Barcelona are reportedly already in talks with Manchester United over the departure of Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan at Camp Nou until the end of the season.
Barcelona are already in talks with Manchester United over the future of Marcus Rashford. Rashford is currently out of favor under manager Ruben Amorim and remains in La Liga on loan until next summer.
The 28-year-old has made 13 appearances in La Liga and the Champions League, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. Barcelona have a £28m buyout option for Rashford, which is significantly lower than the £40m United would demand from other interested parties.
Despite having more than two-and-a-half years left on his contract, Rashford’s future at Old Trafford appears to be in jeopardy. As the new year approaches, Barcelona are reportedly already preparing for the end of Rashford’s loan spell.

A second loan is thought to be unlikely, but Spanish publication Sport claimed the Catalan was working on “outlining an agreement” with United. The report suggests that a decision on whether to trigger the buyout clause will be made after further consultation.
But for now, the club are reportedly leaning towards a ‘yes’. However, the main sticking point remains Rashford’s contract and salary, with one of the options being a long-term deal at a reduced salary.
It is also reported that Rashford’s agent is already in talks with Barcelona and is “keen” to reach an agreement until the summer of 2030. Rashford has already made his position on Barcelona clear and expressed his desire to remain at the club.
“I’m really enjoying my time in Spain and the weather is great,” he said. “(It was) a huge change.
“I’m learning every day and I’m having a lot of fun. I want to be here for a long time. I’m also very good friends with Rooney[Bulge]Jules[Kunde]and Frenkie[De Jong].
“It’s a team where we all come together. We’re united. The team is great. I just have to be in the right position. I’m going to keep working. I’ve got to keep trying to be the best version of myself. We have a lot of work to do this season.”
