The Premier League star is said to have been at the center of a terrifying incident in which he was threatened with a gun while walking with friends in central London earlier this year.
The Metropolitan Police has launched an investigation after a top Premier League star was allegedly threatened with a gun. In the aftermath of this horrific incident, a football agent was reportedly arrested.
The player, who is estimated to be worth around £60 million, is said to have been walking on a busy street in London with a friend when the incident occurred. The police were notified at 11:14 p.m. on September 6, and the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that it had begun a full-scale investigation.
Meanwhile, the Sun reported that an officer was arrested and detained last month on suspicion of brandishing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. The agent, who represents star players including England players, is also under investigation for blackmailing and threatening friends of the footballer.
He has not yet been charged with any crime. However, two days after the incident, police raided his home in Hertfordshire and he was granted bail on September 9 on the condition that he not have any contact with the player.

Police prohibited the player’s agent from visiting the player’s club training ground and also prohibited him from traveling abroad. However, the bail change was agreed by a magistrates court judge.
The man reportedly asked for his passport to leave the UK to take part in a pre-booked trip, but has been asked to return it to police upon his return.
A source told The Sun: “This was a horrific incident and one that shocked the business side of football.
“The players were understandably upset. It is shocking that they were threatened with a gun.
“He reported immediately, which was the right thing to do for his safety. He has the support of his friends and the club and we all hope that his performance is not affected.”
“However, significant questions remain as to why this happened, and police are currently trying to answer those questions.”
