Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo has made a great start to the season and if he can maintain that, Troy Deeney is hoping for a big move for the attacker.
Bournemouth star Antoine Semenho is believed to be on the verge of a move to Real Madrid if he continues his form this season. Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney is impressed with the forward but is unsure if Semenyo can sustain his efforts.
The Cherries ace has six goals and three assists in nine Premier League games this term, after scoring 11 goals and six assists in the same division last season. Semenyo’s form gave Bournemouth a lightning start to second place.
The south coast club rebuffed multiple approaches for their star player in the summer, allowing Milos Kerkes, Dean Huyssen and Ilya Zabarny to join Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for Ghanaian international Semenyo. Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim is said to have had dinner with the player at the end of last season.
It is even said that Liverpool could make a move as early as January. However, Deeney believes a move outside the Premier League could still occur for the division’s best-performing players.

“I don’t know if Semenyo can keep it up, you know what I mean?” Deeney told talkSPORT.
“If he does, then he’ll probably end up playing for Real Madrid.
“But I think he’s a very good, very powerful, very outspoken person. I just don’t know if he’ll maintain that.”
Semenyo signed a new five-year contract with Bournemouth in July. The contract is said to have a release clause, and no player has ever reached the Cherries’ valuation of £75m.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has downplayed the possibility of Semenyo leaving the club. The Spaniard did not respond when asked about the release clause in his contract.
“I don’t know anything about the players’ contracts. I don’t know how much they earn and I don’t want to know,” he said.
“The most important thing for me is that he continues to play well. If he continues to play well, it’s going to make more noise, but if he’s playing well, that’s something we accept. My concern is to keep him where he’s playing well.”
