The Premier League is only nine matches old, but while many managers are already under huge pressure after a disappointing start to the season, others are starting to feel a little better.

The merry-go-round of Premier League managers is always spinning and this season is no different. Although this season is still in its opening stages, three managers have already resigned.

Graham Potter, Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou have all moved on so far this season. And while those three have been removed from their positions, the pressure is still on several guys opposite them.

With only nine games played so far, there could be more changes in the future. But who is under pressure and could be sacked soon?

Or who is likely not going anywhere any time soon? Mirror Football takes a look…

Safe as home

Start with someone safe who you know won’t lose their job anytime soon. Potential player Mikel Arteta is certain to remain at Arsenal after his impressive form in North London.

Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris are also set to remain in place after leading their respective teams to impressive starts to the season. Thomas Frank has also had a great start at Tottenham Hotspur and is likely to stay.

Manchester City are unlikely to go ahead with it, as Josep Guardiola is likely to decide his future. Oliver Glasner’s future looked in doubt at times, but it would be a huge shock to see him move on after leading Crystal Palace to the FA Cup last season.

Sean Dyche has just been appointed by Nottingham Forest and is safe for now, having won the opening game against Porto.

not at risk

It was absurd to suggest that Arne Slott’s position at Liverpool was in jeopardy at the start of the season, and it still is. However, his position at the club does not seem as secure as it once was.

The Reds have lost five of their last six games and seem unlikely to win the title at this stage. There is no suggestion that he is under any pressure, but Slott will need to turn Liverpool’s form around sooner rather than later.

The same can certainly be said for the likes of Unai Emery, Enzo Maresca and Eddie Howe. They are all safe for now, but their futures could be affected depending on how the season plays out.

Scott Parker, David Moyes, Daniel Farke, Keith Andrews and Fabian Haseler are all relatively safe as things stand.

not out of the woods

When it comes to managers who are likely to lose their jobs in the near future, Ruben Amorim is right at the top of the list. The Portuguese coach was under intense pressure just a few weeks ago, and an unfavorable result seemed set for his resignation.

Fortunately for him, the Red Devils seem to have turned things around in recent weeks. This has eased the pressure, but if he shows another disappointing performance, he may be back in action.

Amorim’s compatriot Marco Silva is also under some pressure after Fulham’s disappointing start to the season with just two wins. There are no reports that Silva is under any threat, but he certainly needs to do better.

Across London, Nuno Espirito Santo has already been sacked by Nottingham Forest and is having a rotten season. He is currently at West Ham and is yet to win a game, but if this form continues, the club’s ownership could be forced to look for another change.

During P45

There are some very worrying signs at Molineux. Especially the angry clash with Vitor Pereira’s supporters at the full-time whistle. It was a sign of a manager under real pressure.

It appears to be only a matter of time before Wolves’ owner makes a change in management, which could happen this weekend if the club loses again.
