Manchester United recorded a 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday night, with Brian Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha each scoring.
Manchester United beat Brighton 4-2 in the Premier League on Saturday night. Ruben Amorim scored a monumental win against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend, and this time they celebrated their third successive win by defeating the Seagulls.
Goals from Matheus Cunha, Casemiro and Brian Mbeumo for United, with Danny Welbeck scoring from a free-kick, gave Brighton a glimmer of hope.
Mbeumo’s second goal sealed the deal for United, despite Sharalampos Kostouras scoring late in the game. Here are the players’ ratings of United’s performance at Old Trafford.
Senne Ramens – 6
He has been a refreshing addition to the team since making his debut against Sunderland. He made some crucial saves, including denying Yankuba Minte when United were leading by two goals, but Welbeck’s free-kick should have been saved.

Yoro Lenny – 6
Harry Maguire returned to the team after missing the game due to injury. Although there were some shaky moments in the first half, they showed a solid performance.
Matthijs de Ligt – 7
Arguably having the best season of his career, he has been exceptional this season, with a ferocious tackle in the second half drawing cheers from the crowd.
Luke Shaw – 7
He was substituted in the 64th minute due to injury, but United fans will be hoping it doesn’t turn out to be too serious after Shaw showed great resilience after a disappointing performance in the Manchester derby.
Amado – 7
After his impressive performance against Liverpool, he continued to shine on the right flank. He was denied a penalty in the first half.
Casemiro – 7
He scored with a shot that went wide. The 33-year-old looked impressive once again, disrupting play and making some crucial interceptions.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
He marked his 300th appearance for the club with a stunning turn just before half-time, and set the pace from midfield. A quality performance in the final 10 minutes as Brighton tried to get back into the game.
Diogo Dalot – 6
Although he didn’t contribute much offensively, he played well when called upon to play defense. Dalot’s preferred position is on the right, so he deserves praise for his good performance on the opposite flank last week.
Brian Mbeumo – 8
Mbemo and Cunha were the standout players on the pitch. He has given his all since arriving from Brentford and deserves two points.
Benjamin Sesco – 7
We had chances to score, but we fell just short. The Slovenian has started to find his rhythm at Old Trafford and even provided an assist for Mbeumo.
Matheus Cunha – 8
His first goal since joining from Wolves in the summer was worth the wait. At Anfield, he once again proved his importance with a great performance, as he was outstanding in the final stages.

Aiden Heaven – 6
After appearing in place of Shaw, he showed a good performance.
Coby Mainu – 6
It seemed like he lacked a bit of match fitness.
Patrick Dorg – 4
He committed a foul that led to Brighton’s goal.
Joshua Zirkzee – 4
We lost a player for Brighton’s second goal.
Manuel Ugarte – 6
It also appeared late.
