Liverpool forward Jaden Dunnes is expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time after confirming the effects of a recent injury.
Jaden Duns is unlikely to feature again this year after the full extent of the Liverpool teenager’s recent injury became clear. Dans injured his hamstring while taking a free-kick in a Premier League Two game against the Reds at Ipswich Town last month.
Subsequent tests revealed the seriousness of the problem and the 19-year-old striker now faces a lengthy spell out while he recovers from the setback. “It could be a few months,” Liverpool Under-21s coach Rob Page told the Liverpool Echo. “It’s not going to be resolved anytime soon.
“It’s a setback for him, but Dancy is very positive about everything in life, especially football. If anyone can overcome this setback, it’s definitely him. He has the full support of the medical team, myself and the staff.”

“He’ll get through it.” It was another devastating blow for the young striker, whose potential loan move to Sunderland late last season fell through due to a back injury.
Dans returned to full fitness over the summer and came on as a substitute in the first team’s League Cup victory over Southampton just four days before his latest knockout.
The striker left Liverpool as a senior in February 2024 and has since scored three goals in 10 games, appearing in every major tournament, including last year’s League Cup final victory over Chelsea at Wembley.
“I think the hunger was always in my belly. Even from a young age, if a player was starting for me, I didn’t like it,” Dans said last year as he was about to kick off his first-team breakthrough with Liverpool.
“So, to be honest, my big goal is to continue to progress as much as I can and keep trying to get better as a player, continue to progress and score goals and do what’s best for the team. So the hunger hasn’t gone away, it’s just getting started. The first taste is incredible so I just want to keep getting another taste. I’m grateful for everything that’s coming.”
“This is my boyhood club and I’m just grateful to be in this situation. Like I said, the more opportunities I get, the more chances I want to take.”
“But if they don’t give me a chance, I just want to keep working hard and I’m not going to make a fuss about whether or not I’m going to be there because you’ve got top-class players in front of you. I’m just grateful when I get to play and when I miss that chance. So any chance that’s given to me, I’m going to work as hard as I can and try to take it.”
