In Group D, Cape Verde led Cameroon by two points and defeated Mauritius 2-0. Nicolas Gamaleu and Brian Mbeumo both scored.
In the other Group D fixture, Angola drew 2-2 at home with Eswatini.
Ghana’s 5-0 win over the Central African Republic moved the Black Stars closer to qualification, needing a point from their final match.
Madagascar maintained their second place in Group I behind Ghana with a 2-1 win over Comoros.
Mali won away against Chad 2-0.
