MARSEILLE, France (AP) — Colin Dialcle was hired as coach of the Marseille women’s team on Monday, marking her return after a bitter ending in her time as she handled the French national team.
The team, known as Les Marseillaises, was promoted from tier 2 last season.
“Being involved in Marseille is a great source of pride. It’s a club where identity, passion and ambition completely resonates with my career path and approach to football,” said Dearcre, 51. “I can’t wait to get back on the field with my new players.”
The bias was fired by France in March 2023, just four months before the Women’s World Cup.
The executive committee of the French Football Federation took the decision after several players expressed their dissatisfaction with the di, saying “the situation has reached an endless point.”
