PARMA, Italy (AP) – Mateo Peregrino’s double gave Parma their first victory in Serie A on Monday with a 2-1 victory over Turin.
The match between the league’s most goal-see clubs never produced a thriller, but Palma has only been enough to give his new coach, Carlos Cuesta, his first league victory since his appointment in the summer.
Peregrino put Palma ahead of the penalty spot and ruled out an offside for two minutes in the second half.
Cyril Ngonge equalized for Turin three minutes later, creating space for himself at the edge of the box, unleashing a lovely 20m drive into a far corner.
However, Pellegrino confirmed all three points with 18 minutes remaining. Torino had all 11 men in the six-yard box and its surrounding area, but Peregrino rose to the highest, having a corner kick and bringing Palma to 14th.
Torino is in 15th place.
Castellanos won a star in Lazio’s victory
Late at night, Valentin Castellanos won one, making one when Lazio struggled to win Genoa 3-0.
As a result, Patrick Vieira’s men were second to second from the bottom, and did not win in five games.
The Capital Club lost the last two league games to Sassolo and Roma, but dominated against the irregular Genoa.
Castellanos’ exquisite pass passed Matteo Cancherieli to the goal and led in the fourth minute. Genoa’s defense stood from him, giving him time and space, pushing a great opener into the far corner.
Castellanos gained a 2-second self in 30 minutes by connecting with a low cross and stretching to pilot the ball home.
Mattia Zakkani added a third when he attacked on a rebound in the 63rd.
