“Other sports clearly show that they’re getting more rest and downtime. This is great for the body and even better for the mental aspect of the sport. And it shows that athletes can play longer in their careers,” he said. “I have LeBron James, who watched the NBA and is now in his 40s.
“There were couples (soccer players) who could push them into their 40s like (Cristiano) Ronaldo, and you want to see them more often.
