Forward Ajisat Oshioarah has joined Saudi Women’s Premier League club Alhiral on her move from Bay FC in the National Women’s Football League.
The terms of the contract have not been disclosed. Nigeria International, 30, has signed a two-year contract with Alhiral.
Oshoala joined Bay FC ahead of her first season from Barcelona in 2024, winning two Women’s Champions League titles. She scored a team-high seven goals in her first year with the San Francisco Bay Area team.
The 30-year-old scored Bay FC’s first franchise goal on March 17, 2024, in the 17th minute of the match against Angel City.
“Asisat is a very important part of Bay FC’s history, and she brought it every day, not only through the impact she had on the pitch, but also through the energy, professionalism and kindness she brought every day,” Bay sports director Matt Pattern said in a statement prepared Tuesday. “She’s a world class player and even better, and we’re grateful for all she’s contributed to our club in her first season.”
Oshuara, a six-time African player, joined the Nigerian team that won the 10th Africa Cup of Nations title in July.
Nigerian Ashley Plantre and Francis Caoger will also play for Al-Hilal.
