Newcastle tries to sign Woltemade with a deal that could impact ISAK’s future

Newcastle manager Eddie Hau said attempts to sign German striker Nick Urtemade were “developing in a good way.”

Isaac was at the heart of a big transfer saga this summerLiverpool refused their first bid to Swedish International, and then Isaac refused to play for Newcastle to secure a switch to the Premier League champions.

Isaac appears to be intended to force a move, which has led to increased pressure in Newcastle, allowing him to find an alternative, and it appears that the Saudi control team has scored 17 goals in 33 games for Stuttgart last season and found one in Ultemaid, who made his national team debut in Germany in June.

Stuttgart said Thursday that the 23-year-old Urtemaid has been released from training and gaming duties to hold consultations with the “European club” and is widely reported to be Newcastle.

Howe confirmed many Fridays on Friday when he dealt directly with questions about what he could say about Woltemade’s signature.

“It’s not that great, but a positive sign,” Howe said. “At this point, things are moving and developing in a good way. I can’t see anything until things are done. But yes, my fingers have crossed.”

Howe was asked if he could sign Woltemade in time for his debut with Leeds on Saturday.

Also at a press conference Friday morning, Liverpool manager Arne Slot said his club is still open to the idea of hiring the “right players” for the right money without referring to ISAK before the closure of the transfer window on Monday.

“Let’s see if we do something and if we do something, then we can,” Slot said.

Slot added: “Newcastle signed. If that’s true and there’s no reason not to believe what you’re saying, the new No. 9. That’s really great for Eddie. Anthony Gordon is suspended and Isaac doesn’t train much with the team, so it’s great that he has another No. 9.”

Who is Nick Urtemaid?

He is 6 feet, 6 inches (1.98 meters) tall and is instantly distinguished on any field. Creativity and smooth techniques become a rare combination.

“The 2-meter Messi Musira” was a memorable verdict of Ultemade’s Stuttgart teammate Atakan Karaser, comparing him to Argentina’s great Lionel Messi and Bayern Munich’s rising star Jamal Muciara.

Woltemade may have been Musiala’s teammate at Bayern, but the German champion balked at Stuttgart’s price tag after chasing him for the majority of the offseason.

Even Bayern doesn’t seem to compete with the financial strength of England’s top teams.

“It’s always up to the players to go,” Bayern sports director Christophe Freund said Friday. “There’s a lot of debate in the Premier League and it’s financially in a different league.”

This is rising rapidly for players who were excluded from Stuttgart’s Champions League team a year ago.

Aside from his league goals and his impressive tally of making his German debut, Woltemade was Stuttgart’s German Cup winner and was also the highest scorer for Germany’s under 21 team at the European Championships.

Now he needs to prove that he is not a wonder of one season.

Woltemade initially struggled to step up to Bundesliga, scoring only two Werder Bremen seasons in 2023-24. Being excluded from Stuttgart’s team last season means he has never played a European club game.
