Mainz, Germany (AP) – German football is investigating two Incident Players who are allegedly exposed to racist abuse by stadium fans are said to be facing abusive messages online.

A day after a 1-0 victory in the German Cup Game against Dynamo Dresden, Mainz said Tuesday that he plans to support players in taking legal action against users who sent abusive messages.

The club has released screenshots of racist messages targeting French winger Arnaud Nordin. It is black and includes sexist and xenophobic insults targeting the mother of German midfielder Nadiem Amiri, an Afghan heritage.

Amiri, who has achieved the game’s sole goal, wrote a screenshot of the message, “There’s no better word for these people,” wrote Amiri.

“There is no place for racism, upset or hatred on the internet, in the stadium or elsewhere,” Mainz wrote.

In another incident, Rot-Weiss Essen disabled the comment section of an Instagram post about a 1-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

“I think it’s very despicable, some of the comments directed at people,” his coach Wee Kosinat said after the game.

The German Football Federation said Monday it is investigating two incidents in which players allegedly suffered racist abuse by people at the stadium during other German Cup matches. FIFA President Gianni Infantino condemned the incident “Unacceptable.” Police were investigating at least one incident.
