MADRID (AP) – Despite debuting most of the new signatures, Atletico Madrid has admitted two late goals, unable to avoid losing a Spanish league match for the first time under manager Diego Simeon.

Host Espanyol’s 2-1 victory on Sunday was Atletico’s first opening defeat since Simeone took over in late 2011. Before 2009, they had not lost any opening league matches.

Simeone has started the game with the club’s five new signature season. Giacomo Raspadori made her debut from the bench in the second half.

Atletico led the team with a free kick from Julian Alvarez in the 37th minute, but in the 73rd inning, Peremira confirmed the goal from Miguel Rubio on the 84th.

“It happens,” Simeone said. “The outcome hurts, but it will improve and grow us. I’m leaving all the good things the team did.”

Last season, Atletico only lost two league games in which he led the lead.

“We played a very good first half and controlled the game second,” said Atletico midfielder Cork. “But after their initial goal, they turned things around.”

Nico leads the athletics

With past transfer rumors, Nico Williams gave Athletic Bilbao a 3-2 win over Sevilla in an opening Spanish league match.

Although linked to the offseason with his move to Barcelona, Williams, who was planning to stay at the club as a boy, moves the hosts forward by changing his 36-minute penalty kick.

The Athletics finished fourth last season, adding the lead with a goal from Malone Sannady in the 43rd, and Sevila came together with a goal from Dodi Lukbakio on the 60th and Lucian Agme in the 72nd.

Robert Navarro brought the movement back to the front by scoring on the 81st.

Goalkeeper Unai Simon helped the hosts secure the victory as Sevilla advanced to the end.

It was my first athletic match. Inaki WilliamsNico Williams’ older brother, as the main captain – the first for the club’s black players, traditionally feeding only players from rural or adjacent regions of the northern Basque region of Spain.

Getafe that’s exhausted wins

Getafe scored a 2-0 victory at Celta Vigo with late goals from Adrián Liso and Christantantus Uche.

The Madrid Club had a drained team as they were unable to register many new players due to restrictions on financial fair play.

It was a disappointing start for Celta after a season finishing in a European location.

on friday, Rayo Vallecano won Girona 3-1 and Villarreal defeated the promotion 2-0.
