Wrexham destroys forwarding records by signing Broadhead

Wrexham’s spending moved to the new stratosphere Thursday when the Hollywood celebrity-owned team signed Winger Nathan Broadhead on a club record deal that could reach £10 million ($13.50 million).

Welsh Club’s transfer market spending exceeded £20 million ($27 million) in this window. Three unprecedented straight promotions.

The 27-year-old Wales International is a former Wrexham Academy player who was a fringe player in Ipswich in the Premier League last season and is a versatile forward.

“He was a local boy and had a real desire to come and play at his hometown club,” Fexham manager Phil Parkinson said in the team’s announcement.
