Dortmund, Germany (AP) — Borussia Dortmund’s defensive concerns deepened on Monday, with central defender Niklas Thule expected to sustain a right calf injury during a friendly match against Juventus for two months.
Süle suffered a muscle injury and had to go out just before halftime during his Sunday match against the Italian team. He only exchanged Matt Hammel 19 minutes of the Veteran Defender farewell game. Hammels, 36, played for Rome last season after leaving Dortmund. Second time in 2024had said emotional farewells to Dortmund fans.
Dortmund was already without the injured Nico Schlotterbeck and Emre Kang. Nico Kobak’s lack of defenders has exacerbated Nico Kobak’s defense before he began the season in the first round of the German Cup on August 18th.
