LONDON (AP) — Arsenal have signed former Barcelona defender Ona Batre in a major move to London for Spain’s Women’s World Cup champions.
Batre was a returning starter for Barcelona. 4-0 victory over OL Lyon He played in the Champions League final in May and left the club at the end of the season as part of an exodus of key players.
She becomes the second star of Spain’s 2023 World Cup-winning squad to move to England this week, following two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putelas. I participated London City Lionesses on Wednesday.

As well as Batre and Putelas, defender Mapi Leon and striker Salma Palaruelo will also leave at the end of the season, with two more players from Barcelona’s Champions League final squad also joining new clubs.
