Pietra Trudin had a goal and two assists and the Portland Thorns defeated Racing Louisville 4-0 on Sunday night.
In other National Women’s Soccer League matches, Boston Legacy and Bay FC ended in a 2-2 draw. The Chicago Stars defeated the Utah Royals 3-2.
Jaden Perry, RaeLynn Turner and Sophia Wilson also scored for the Thorns (8-3-3) in Portland’s win at Providence Park.
Perry scored the opening goal in the 13th minute with a header from a set piece.
Racing Louisville (2-9-1) had shots from Katie O’Kane and Kayla Fisher hit the wood frame twice in the first 21 minutes.
Todin scored in the 36th minute after assisting on the opening goal. Wilson’s low cross hit Turner, making it 3-0 at half-time.
Wilson scored his 50th NWSL goal in the 82nd minute.
Mackenzie Arnold made four saves for her sixth shutout of the season.
Legacy makes a comeback in Pawtucket
Boston (2-7-4) fell behind 2-0 early, but Amanda Gutierrez and Aissata Traore scored to tie Legacy.
Bay’s Alex Pfeiffer was fouled in the box by goalkeeper Casey Murphy in the third minute and Claire Hutton converted the team’s first penalty of the season for a 1-0 lead.
Hutton scored Carly Lema’s first goal of the year in the 18th minute, doubling Bay (3-6-3)’s lead.
In first-half stoppage time, Gutierre headed in Nichelle Prince’s cross to pull Boston within goal.
Traore equalized with a penalty in the 77th minute after being tripped by Sydney Collins in the box.
The game will be played at Centerville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, where Legacy has played several games this season.
Star player ends Royals’ winning streak
Jordyn Huytema scored twice and the Stars ended the Royals’ undefeated streak at 10 points.
Chicago (4-9-0) took an early lead in the 20th minute when Huytema scored off a cross into the box from Briana Pinto.
Utah’s Chloe LaCasse tied for 43rd place.
In the 54th minute, Cece Delzer, who was fouled in the box, converted a penalty kick to give Utah a 2-1 lead.
Sam Staab’s pinpoint long-range shot from a free kick tied the score at 2-2, and Huytema scored the winning goal in the 86th minute.
The Royals (7-3-3) had seven players absent due to injuries, including midfielder Minami Tanaka due to a hamstring injury.
