Dembélé and his France team-mates Bradley Barcola, Warren Zaire-Emery and Desir Douet took to the sun-drenched court at Philippe-Chatrier to a standing ovation from tennis fans.
PSG won Europe’s most prestigious club competition They won their second straight title on Saturday, defeating Arsenal in a tense final that ended on penalties.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was also in attendance at Roland Garros Stadium, west of Paris, close to PSG’s exclusive Parc des Princes arena. Al-Khelaifi, 52, a former tennis player, played in two matches on the ATP Tour, including a loss to 1995 French Open champion Thomas Muster, and represented Qatar in the Davis Cup.
Wearing sports sunglasses, Dembele shouted: “Love Paris!” (This is Paris!) — one of PSG fans’ favorite chants. Some members of the crowd loudly joined in.
“We worked every day throughout the season to win this trophy again,” Dembele said. “We will do our best to win next season as well, but before that we have the World Cup with France.”
France is one of the favorites to win the World Cup, which begins on June 11 in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
