BERLIN (AP) – While St. Pauli and Heidenheim are relegated from the Bundesliga, Wolfsburg had its last chance to stay on Saturday on the final day of the season.
Wolfsburg won the relegation match against St. Pauli 3-1, demoting the home team and qualifying for the play-offs, giving them an advantage over the third-placed team in the second division who will decide which team will play in the first division next season.
Heidenheim had reached the final round tied with Wolfsburg and St. Pauli, and needed a home win against Mainz to keep their hopes alive, but they lost 2-0.
The last two players will be automatically demoted to the second division.

Stuttgart held on for the last spot in the Champions League despite conceding two late goals in a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt, denying Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen any chances.
Both rivals were hoping for favor from Frankfurt, but they could not win in any case. Hoffenheim lost 4-0 to Borussia Mönchengladbach, while Leverkusen were forced to draw 1-1 with Hamburger SV.
For Frankfurt, Jonathan Burkard converted two penalties in the closing stages.
Kane’s hat trick

Coach Marie-Louise Eta led Union Berlin to their second win, and the team ended the season with a 4-0 victory over Augsburg.
Etta First female Bundesliga managerwill next take over the Union women’s team, but she may face calls to continue with the men’s team after drawing and winning only two of her five games at the helm.
Other results
Second place Borussia Dortmund defeated Werder Bremen 2-0, while Freiburg beat third place Leipzig 4-1 at home.
Freiburg will face Aston Villa in the Europa League final in Istanbul on Wednesday.
