BARCELONA, Spain (AP) – Versatile goal scorer Robert Lewandowski will leave Barcelona at the end of the season, the Spanish club announced Saturday.
The Polish striker, who turns 38 in August, was widely expected to move on ahead of his contract expiring.

Lewandowski did not discuss the future of his career in his message. He has been linked with a move to Juventus or a league outside of Europe.
Lewandowski lost his status as Barcelona manager Hansi Flick’s undisputed first-choice striker this season, as the former Bayern manager often preferred the speed and energy of young Ferran Torres.
Lamine Yamal, who played on Lewandowski’s right flank, praised his attacking partner.
“Thank you for everything, your goals, your leadership, and for believing in me from day one,” Yamal wrote on Instagram. “I learned a lot from you on and off the pitch. You will forever be a legend.”
Barcelona have two games left this season. They will face Real Betis on Sunday and visit Valencia on May 23rd.
