BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Barcelona is looking to curry favor with city rival Espanyol as it celebrates another Spanish league title.
Espanyol host second-place Real Madrid later on Sunday and needed a win to extend their title race for at least another week. If Madrid don’t win, the title will be awarded to Barcelona with four rounds remaining.
With this goal, Barcelona increased their lead over Madrid to 14 points. Won against Osasuna 2-1 Saturday. Next they will face their rival Madrid. la liga Next weekend’s “Clásico” will decide whether to win the title without relying on others.

Rayo Vallecano beat Getafe 2-0 to prepare for the Conference League semi-finals against Strasbourg.

Celta moved up to 6th place, ahead of Getafe.
Also on Sunday, Cucho Hernández scored the opening and winning goal for fifth-placed Real Betis in a 3-0 home win over bottom-placed Oviedo, leaving the visitors in danger of being relegated.
