Ligue 1 Club Marseille has stepped up the attack by signing Brazilian Winger IgorPaixão from Feyenord in a deal that could rise to 35 million euros ($40.6 million).
The 25-year-old Paixão scored 18 goals in 47 games last season and was named Dutch player of the season. Marseille broke the competition with the newly promoted Premier League Team Leeds and signed him.
Marseille announced the deal late Friday without giving details, but French media reports valued the deal at 30 million euros with performance-related bonuses.
Marseille paid a club record of 32 million euros to Portuguese club Braga to sign Vitanya in early 2023. Vitina was unable to settle the match in 43 games before being sold to Genoa, scoring only six goals.

Marseille coach Roberto des Zerbi made several moves this summer in the transfer market. This included veteran striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang revived Arcazia’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from the pro league in the Saudi Arabians.
The 36-year-old Aubameyang scored 21 goals for Arcazia last season after spending his 2023-24 campaign at Marseille.
