ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – Martin Ojeda scored twice, Luis Otavio and Ignacio Gomez each scored their first MLS goals, and Orlando City defeated Charlotte FC 4-1 on Wednesday night, ending a four-game winning streak.
Orlando (2-6-1) lost three games during the slump, with a goal differential of -12 (13-1).
Maxime Crepeau made four saves for Orlando.
Otavio scored his first MLS goal in the 21st minute. The 19-year-old, making his third career start, opened the scoring with a shot from beyond the penalty arc.
Morrison Agyemang, known simply as ‘Morrison’, scored his first career goal in the 21-year-old defender’s seventh MLS start. Pep Beer hit the free-kick at the back post, which Agyeman headed home to make it 1-1 in the 33rd minute.
Ojeda’s goal in the 49th minute gave Orlando the lead for good, and it was 3-1 in the 61st minute.
Ojeda, who contributed a career-best 31 goals (16 goals, 15 assists, both career highs) in 2025, has four goals (all goals) this season.
Gomez added another goal in the 87th minute.
Kristijan Karina stopped two shots for Charlotte (4-3-2).
