ZURICH (AP) — FIFA will pay $2.3 million in prize money to the club that wins the inaugural Women’s Champions Cup, which will be played at Arsenal’s Stadium next week.

The total funding, detailed by FIFA on Friday, will see $3.9 million split between the six continental champion teams. The final stage in London will be a warm-up for the full Women’s Club World Cup scheduled for 2028.

european champions arsenal Gotham of the United States will face Corinthians of Brazil in back-to-back semi-finals at home to Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday, before facing ASFAR of Morocco.

The final, to be played at Arsenal’s stadium on February 1, will be played after the third-place match at the same venue.

The champion will receive $2.3 million, the losing finalist will receive $1 million, and the losing semifinalists will each receive $200,000.

The two continental champions who have already been eliminated in previous rounds – Oceania’s Auckland United and Asia’s Wuhan Chago Jiangda – will each receive $100,000.

FIFA Secretary General Matthias Grafström said in a statement that the prize money “is a clear statement of belief in the players, teams and competitions that drive women’s club football and its continued development.”

Arsenal earned more than 1.5 million euros (approximately 180 million yen) in prize money for winning last season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.

FIFA paid $1 billion Selected as one of the 32 teams participating in the 2025 Men’s Club World Cup. The tournament, to be held in the United States, was backed by Saudi funding to secure prize money, with Europe’s leading clubs willing to agree to take part.
