DOHA, Qatar (AP) — Ousmane Dembele and Aitana Bommatti were named the best players of 2025 at Tuesday’s FIFA Awards, adding to their prize money collection as they also won this year’s men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or.
Dembélé helped Paris Saint-Germain win their first Champions League title, while Bommatti was outstanding with Spain and Barcelona.
The FIFA Awards are decided by votes from national team captains, coaches, media and fans around the world.
Two European champions received leadership awards. Sarina Wigman led England to their second successive title at the Women’s Euro in Switzerland, defeating Spain in the final, while Luis Enrique guided PSG to the Champions League and French title.
The top 4 prizes are same honorable role as the Ballon d’Or award, which will be awarded in Paris in September.
FIFA presented its annual top award at a private dinner in Doha on Wednesday as PSG faced newly crowned South American champions Flamengo in an Intercontinental Cup match.
