MILAN (AP) — Lazio pulled out of the Serie A relegation zone with a 0-0 draw at Pisa, snapping a third straight stalemate on Thursday.
Both teams just had good results and Pisa managed to get the win. Draw with AC Milan After allowing the equalizing goal in stoppage time on Friday, Lazio beat Juventus — The result was the Bianconeri. Director Igor Tudor fired.
With heavy rain falling in Pisa, Lazio came closest to scoring in the first half, but Pisa goalkeeper Adrian Sempel tipped Toma Basik’s shot into the left post.
Lazio remain in mid-table, six points behind the top four, while Pisa, who are still unbeaten, are in 17th place, ahead of Hellas Verona on goal difference. The head-to-head match will be the first tiebreaker since the end of the season.
Cagliari in crisis
Cagliari lost 2-1 at home to Sassuolo and are without a win in five games.
Armando Lauriente broke the deadlock with a free kick in the 54th minute, and 11 minutes later Andrea Pinamonti extended Sassuolo’s lead to two points after Gabriele Zappa hit the crossbar for the home side.
Cagliari forward Sebastiano Esposito scored in the 73rd minute, ending a 31-game winless streak.
The Sardinian side are now four points above the relegation zone and four points below Sassuolo.
