Ramsey has offered a $10,000 reward for anyone who can help track down the dog.
“Help me find Halo. He is lost in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato,” Ramsey wrote on Instagram.
The former Arsenal, Juventus and Cardiff midfielder moved to Mexico in July on a one-year deal with top-flight side Pumas, who currently sit 12th in the 18-team league.
Ramsey missed Pumas’ final game against Leon on Saturday as the search continues for Halo, who went missing earlier this month after being abandoned at a dog shelter in the city of Dolores in Guanajuato, an industrial and agricultural state in central Mexico.
Pumas teammates and coaches know how important the dog is to Ramsey.
“We are with him. Let’s see what happens in the next few days,” Pumas coach Efrain Juarez said after his team’s 1-0 win over Lyon. “He’s got this problem. We all know what it is with his dogs, but we’re there for him.”
The search continues
“We’re still looking for answers. If you see a beagle in San Ignacio, Dolores Hidalgo, please send us a message,” Ramsey’s wife Colleen Ramsey said on social media.
Ramsey completed the final three games of the 2024-25 season as Cardiff’s caretaker manager after the club were relegated from England’s League Championship to League One.
He made 86 appearances for Wales, helping his country reach the Euro 2016 semi-finals.
