There was quite a few debuts for Chelsea over night as they took on Wrexham in their first pre-season game of the new campaign.
Chelsea eased past Wrexham to win the game 5-0, and although the opposition wasn’t the best Chelsea will face all season, it was a great achievement for a very young looking Chelsea team.
Mauricio Pochettino handed debuts to a number of new faces, one of which was Angelo Gabriel, who came on in the second half and made a real impact.
He was fearless and technically sound. The ball sticks to his feet and his close control is excellent, as is his passing range and vision. He is direct with quick feet and looks to be a real player.
Angelo has been thanking god for his Chelsea debut, in some words picked up by Absolute Chelsea today.
On making his Chelsea debut, Angelo said: “I have to thank God for the opportunity, for everything he has been doing in my life. I’m very happy. It was a wonderful debut, we won, and the most important thing is that we played well.”
