Chelsea are trying to end this current summer transfer window on an absolute high.
They had a great June by selling many of their current squad, reducing the size of it for new manager Mauricio Pochettino, and also making sure they balance the books for financial reasons and to protect FFP rules.
But since then things had gone a little quite on arrivals, at least keys arrivals for the first team that have been badly need, as in the middle of the park.
Chelsea are trying to make some big signings in midfield and there has been a lot of noise about them trying to sign both Moises Caicedo from Brighton, as well as Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
Matt Law of The Telegraph is probably one best sources around and even he is now reporting that Chelsea ARE pushing to sign BOTH of Lavia and Caicedo this window, which is an absolute madness.
